The Netherlands has been a front runner when it comes to innovation. Dutch companies, especially banks, have started to explore the benefits of blockchain technology way back in 2013-14.
Recently a new blockchain initiative was kicked off with more than 20 public and private companies including government agencies, universities and private companies from financial, education and energy sectors coming on board. This coalition primarily aims to speed up the process of implementation of blockchain tech within the government as well as private sector.
In a public statement, Minister of Economic Affairs Henk Kamp stressed on his vision to make digital payments and data exchange easier with unmatched security by using blockchain technology.
